1987 Indianapolis 500 | Official Full-Race Broadcast
The 71st Running of the Indianapolis 500 was held on Sunday, May 24, 1987, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Al Unser Sr. went on to win the race by holding off Roberto Guerrero by 4.496 seconds, becoming the second four-time winner of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." He also went on to become the oldest winner of the race at 47 years of age.
