Below you will find all the information you need for planning your trip to and from Flag ADA at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Parking lot Opens at: 6:00 A.M.

Know Before You Go Home

As you prepare to leave Indianapolis Motor Speedway, please be patient and note the following: 

• To keep everyone safe, vehicles will not be released from IMS parking lots until pedestrian traffic allows for clear roadways.
• As you leave the Speedway, you will be directed to the nearest interstate access based on the location in which you are parked – not your intended destination. 
• Please follow the directions provided as they are designed to get you out and away from the Speedway as quickly and efficiently as possible. Road closures and restrictions are in place to help more traffic to the nearest interstate.

Waze/Google Maps

The IMS Team has worked with Google Maps, Waze and other navigation systems to adapt to these directions on Race Day to make this process even easier! Waze provides up to date traffic information, including any day specific road closures or re-routing. To ensure you're arriving at the facility in the best manner possible, including the correct lot entry gate, please view the directions to your lot on Waze or Google Maps.

Arrival

The preferred method of arriving to your lot is by following the directions provided through the Waze link above. This will provide you with the most updated road and traffic conditions on the day you are arriving.

Sunday Inbound Road Closures

Closures will occur between 16th Street and Olin Avenue starting approximately one hour before the start of the race until the checkered flag of the Cup Race.

Georgetown Road, south of 25th Street, will be closed to all vehicular traffic starting approximately one hour before the start of the race until the checkered flag of the Cup Race. To access parking lots along Georgetown Road after the road closure, southbound traffic should take 25th Street to Auburn Street, northbound traffic should take Crawfordsville Road to Winton Avenue.

Post Event

The preferred method of leaving your lot is by following the directions provided through the Waze link above. This will provide you with the most updated road and traffic conditions post event, accounting for changes in egress flow.

Outbound Road Closures

Vehicular traffic exiting Indianapolis Motor Speedway parking lots will be directed by public safety officials to ensure the quickest possible route. Vehicles can be held in lots following the race while awaiting pedestrian traffic to clear.
