2017 Red Bull Air Race Challenger Cup Highlights
Rain and low cloud prevented a grand finale to the 2017 Challenger Cup. The race had to be cancelled because of the poor conditions. That meant Melanie Astles was declared the winner as the fastest pilot in the last completed flying session which was qualifying. Half points were awarded in the championship and they were enough for Florian Berger to win the Challenger Cup for the second season running. Daniel Ryfa took second ahead of Luke Czepiela because he won two races to the Pole’s one win.
