Fuzzy’s Vodka unveiled its 2017 Patriotic Limited Edition bottle earlier this month at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The bottle commemorates 100 years since World War I began, resulting in the closure of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time.
Indianapolis-based Fuzzy’s Vodka also announced its partnership with military non-profit, Fisher House Foundation. With this partnership, Fuzzy’s Vodka pledges to donate $1 to Fisher House Foundation for every 2017 commemorative bottle sold this year.
In addition to a monetary donation, Ed Carpenter Racing will carry the Fisher House logo on the Fuzzy’s Vodka car for the Verizon IndyCar Series season.
“This year’s Patriotic Limited Edition bottle recognizes those who have served our great nation,” said Fuzzy Zoeller, co-owner of Fuzzy’s Vodka. “We’re proud to be partnering with a foundation that yearly receives A+ ratings and is dedicated toward helping our veterans and their families.
“By winning on the racetrack and selling bottles across the United States, our goal is to make an impactful donation to Fisher House Foundation at the end of the year.”
The Fisher House program provides “a home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes provide temporary free lodging so families can be close to their loved ones during a medical crisis.
Growing to 71 houses in operation, the Fisher House program has provided over 7 million free nights of lodging for families to be close to their loved ones. The program has saved more than $360 million in housing and transportation costs since the program’s inception in 1990.
This is the first year that Fuzzy’s Vodka and the Fisher House Foundation have partnered, bringing more awareness from an American racing ECR team to a foundation that provides “a home away from home” for families of military service members and veterans.
“We are thrilled for this opportunity to partner with Fuzzy’s Vodka,” said Ken Fisher, chairman and CEO of Fisher House Foundation. “In addition to the monetary support they are pledging, they will bring important awareness to our mission of supporting our service members, veterans and their families.”
