The inaugural Red Bull Air Race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was a smashing success, with the best pilots in the world thrilling fans while navigating a unique course inside the iconic IMS oval. Motorsports fans came out to the Speedway in droves, with Tier 1 tickets selling out for the new event.


The inaugural Red Bull Air Race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was a smashing success, with the best pilots in the world thrilling fans while navigating a unique course inside the iconic IMS oval. Motorsports fans came out to the Speedway in droves, with Tier 1 tickets selling out for the new event.  

The second Red Bull Air Race will be held in October 2017, at a date to be announced later, and fans can reorder tickets now at a discounted price to ensure the best seats for all the action. Renewal information can be found at: www.ims.com/renew

"The Red Bull Air Race delivered wonderful racing to our fans, who filled the north-end grandstands," said Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Douglas Boles. "We're looking forward to a terrific second event next year, and everyone can prepare to see all of the action now by purchasing tickets at a really great price."

Tier 1 Reserved Seats – which sold out this year – are available for $45 during the renewal period, compared to $65 on race weekend. Tier 2 Reserved Seats are available for $35 now, compared to $55 on race weekend. And General Admission tickets for Saturday ($15 now) and Sunday ($25) are available below the race-weekend prices of $20 and $40, respectively.

Fans can also get up close to the pilots and planes with Hangar Viewing passes, and a two-day pass is on sale for $75, compared to $100 on race weekend. Saturday passes are $40 and Sunday passes are $50, compared to $60 and $75 on race weekend.
