The 2012 Miles Ahead Teen Driving Intensive kicked off last week with a national media day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This unique program for licensed teenage drivers features classroom instruction as well as extensive time behind the wheel of a passenger vehicle on the IMS road course. The Miles Ahead program is the only driving school to take place at the Speedway in its 103-year history. Miles Ahead was co-founded by seven-time Indianapolis 500 driver Stephan Gregoire. IZOD IndyCar Series and Road to Indy developmental ladder system drivers Alex Lloyd, Conor Daly, Stefan Wilson and Zach Veach are among the instructors in the program that teach young drivers how to improve their driving skills and decision-making behind the wheel. Classes will begin April 7 and will continue throughout the year.
