109th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge
Event Information
The NTT INDYCAR SERIES’ annual spring test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is on tap for April 23-24, and it will be historic in nature.
After the NTT INDYCAR SERIES debuted hybrid racing in July, all cars participating in this two-day event will use the energy recovery system. Every driver expected to enter next month's Indy 500 will be in attendance, led by Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden, the winner of the past two Indianapolis 500s presented by Gainbridge, and this year’s second-place finisher, Pato O’Ward of Arrow McLaren.


Wednesday, April 23
Veteran oval drivers will take the track from 12:45-2:00P.M. Rookie orientation and oval refreshers will take place from 2:00-4:00P.M. All cars will be available to take to the historic 2.5-mile oval from 4:00-7:00P.M.
Gates will be open 9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.

Thursday, April 24
Thursday, drivers will participate in a High Boost Session from 9:30-12:00 P.M. All cars will once again take to the track from 2:00-5:00 P.M.
Gates will be open 9:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.

Viewing Access
Fans can view the test free of charge in the Southeast Vista and on the Turn 2 Mounds.

Parking
Free parking will be available in Lot 3P. Fans with an ADA placard and/or those visiting the IMS Museum will be allowed to park in the Museum Lot.
