Ty Dillon held off defending race winner Kyle Busch to win the third annual Lilly Diabetes 250 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Dillon led 24 laps around the Brickyard on the way to his first-ever victory in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
“Our Bass Pro Chevy had speed all weekend. I’m so happy." Dillon said. "That was all I had out there. You’ve got the best guy in the business behind you (Kyle Busch), it’s tough. I’ve battled against Kyle and Brad (Keselowski) a lot, the confidence it gives me is awesome.”
“A lot of praying. It was really cool to see him (win). To come up here and win at Indy and race with the guys he was racing with, it was a great day for RCR.” said Dillon's team-owner and grandfather Richard Childress.
