I have already received my 2020 Indy 500 Race Day tickets. Are those valid on Aug. 23 or do I need a new ticket?
New Indy 500 Race Day tickets will be issued to all customers for the rescheduled Indy 500. Tickets will begin to be mailed in early August. If you have already received your original Indy 500 Race Day tickets, you may keep them, but they will not be valid for entry. If you have already received your Indy 500 Race Day parking and camping passes, please retain these for use for the rescheduled Indy 500.
I would like my original Indianapolis 500 ticket stock, how can I receive them?
Please send an email request to tickets@brickyard.com and include your customer ID number. All requests will be reviewed by the end of the year.
I did not purchase my tickets through IMS.com or the IMS Ticket Office. What do I do?
You need to contact the individual or third-party site/vendor from whom you purchased your ticket(s), to receive your replacement tickets or for information regarding a credit or refund. The original Indianapolis 500 tickets will not be accepted at the gates. IMS cannot provide IMS account credits for items not purchased directly through the IMS Ticket Office or IMS.com website.
Is there a digital ticket available for Indianapolis 500 Race Day?
Yes. Digital delivery was an option when you requested your replacement ticket for this year’s Indianapolis 500. However, you cannot switch delivery methods once you have selected an option. If you selected digital delivery, we encourage you to download the new IMS App to make the Digital Ticket process as seamless as possible.
When will tickets be mailed?
Tickets will begin to be mailed in early August.
When will 2021 reorders begin?
Reorders for the 2021 Indianapolis 500, GMR Grand Prix, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series are now available. Indianapolis 500 reorders will conclude with the traditional 500-hour reorder window on Sept. 14.
I received complimentary items, am I eligible for a credit?
Complimentary items do not hold a cash value and are therefore not eligible for a credit.
Can I purchase tickets for the Indianapolis 500 in August?

What is the expected capacity for the Indianapolis 500?
Grandstand capacity will be reduced by 75% and infield capacity will be reduced by more than 90% to enable physical distancing and minimize congestion.
Where is the best place to get information?
IMS.com and the new IMS Mobile App are best resources for the latest information. Be sure to plan your travel in advance, understanding some of your past experiences might be difficult due to 2020 safety precautions. Enhanced technology on-site includes 5G Connectivity and 30 new video boards, such as the massive Pagoda Plaza Media Wall.
What will fans see at gate entry?
Everyone will be temperature-screened using contactless thermometers and then will be provided a personal protection kit that includes a mask and hand sanitizer. Social distancing will be stressed.
How are you working to avoid congestion at gate entry?
There will be 96 lanes at the facility’s 16 gates, with extra resources devoted to Gates 1 and 9. Staff members will be on hand to assist fans where necessary.
Will IMS be accepting cash during the event?
Yes, but electronic payment is preferred where possible.
Are my items now valid for rescheduled August dates?
Replacement Indianapolis 500 Race Day tickets are required for entry to the facility on Sunday, Aug. 23. All original parking, camping, practice tickets, qualifications tickets and Carb Day tickets are valid for rescheduled August dates.
