Fuzzy's Vodka
IMS and Fuzzy’s Award Winning Vodka Extend Partnership

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Fuzzy’s Award Winning Vodka have agreed to a multi-year extension of their partnership.

Among the most noteworthy elements of the affiliation is that Fuzzy’s Vodka will continue as the official vodka of the annual Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis and “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” the Indianapolis 500.

Fuzzy’s Award Winning Vodka first sponsored Ed Carpenter’s entry in the 2010 Indianapolis 500 and has been involved with IMS and the “500” for the past five years. In 2012, Fuzzy’s Award Winning Vodka increased its sponsorship by becoming the primary sponsor of Carpenter’s then new team, Ed Carpenter Racing.

In celebration of the extended agreement with IMS, Fuzzy’s has designed a commemorative limited edition Yard of Bricks bottle that is available now in Indiana and other regional markets. Fuzzy’s limited edition bottle captures the tradition of the Yard of Bricks along with elements of the famous Indianapolis 500 pre-race excitement. Fuzzy’s will design and produce an additional commemorative bottle that will recognize the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race in 2016.

“Fuzzy’s Vodka has been an ideal partner to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as well as the Verizon IndyCar Series and Ed Carpenter,” said J. Douglas Boles, Indianapolis Motor Speedway president. “Partners like Fuzzy’s that activate across all levels from venue to series to team truly help elevate our sport. Add to that the fact that it’s a brand with such strong Hoosier roots, frankly, we couldn’t ask for a better fit.”

Founded by New Albany, Indiana, native and two-time major-champion golfer Fuzzy Zoeller, Fuzzy’s Award Winning Vodka began the concept of the Checkered Flag Limited Edition bottle for the 2012 Indianapolis 500, as the Indiana-based company looked to create a bottle that showcased its passion for the world’s most prestigious racing event and the highly competitive Verizon IndyCar Series.

“Being a proud lifelong Hoosier, I love IndyCar and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” Zoeller said. “IMS is to auto racing what Augusta National is to golf and Churchill Downs is to horse racing. We are thrilled to continue and expand our partnership with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Working with such a world-renowned racing landmark helps us reach out to more customers, build brand awareness, and continue our mission to educate consumers on Fuzzy’s Award Winning Vodka.”

The second annual Angie’s List Grand Prix of Indianapolis will take place on the IMS road course on Saturday, May 9, 2015, and the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2015.
