Frequently Asked Questions

  • Suites v. Hospitality
  • IMS defines “suites” as a hospitality space with a view of the track from inside the space (Gasoline Alley, Tower Terrace, VIP Turn 2, Pagoda, Hulman Terrace). “Hospitality” is defined as a private space without a view of the track from inside of the unit (Legends Row, Flag Rooms, Pagoda Plaza).
  • When can I access premium spaces?
  • Suite and Hospitality locations will open when gates open and will close one hour after gates close or one hour post-checkered flag. (Worker tickets will provide entry one hour prior to gates open.)
  • Which gate do I use to access premium spaces?
  • Suite or Hospitality tickets will allow you to enter through any public gate that is operational on a day IMS is open to the public. There are numerous gates around the entire facility that are open.
  • Do children need a ticket to enter premium spaces?
  • Yes, every individual will need a ticket to access all premium spaces. This policy applies even if the child can receive free gate admission. Handheld infants will not be checked for tickets at the checkpoint to the premium spaces, guests are encouraged to check with their suite or hospitality host for admission policies to their respective location. Toddlers and small children (not handheld) will require a ticket to access the premium spaces.
  • Are coolers allowed in premium spaces?
  • While coolers are allowed to be carried into the facility, coolers will not be allowed in any Suite or Hospitality location.
  • How do I watch track activity?
  • All Suite locations have a view of the track from inside of the space and reserved outdoor seating. All Hospitality spaces do not have a view of the track but are paired with reserved grandstand seats on race days; on non-race days Hospitality guests may watch track activity from any open grandstand.
  • Can I access the pits or garage areas?
  • All Suite customers will receive an allotment of pit and garage or garage- only passes. The suite holder will administer the passes at their discretion. All Hospitality customers will receive garage- only access for each of their guests. All guests using the credential must be over age 18 and will be required to sign a release before using the credential. Junior garage- only passes are available for purchase at any credential location during the Month of May. (During NASCAR weekend, Suite and Hospitality guests will have access to the pit area only.)
  • What is pit or garage attire?
  • Shirts, bottoms, and shoes are required for pit or garage admittance and must be worn at all times. We prefer, but do not require, close-toed shoes and long pants. (Please note: All pit or garage attendees must sign a release and have a proper credential before entering the pit or garage area.)
  • What is attire for Suites and Hospitality?
  • Shirts, bottoms, and shoes are required for admission to suite or hospitality locations. Admittance will be denied if clothing is considered offensive, disruptive, or unsuitable for any reason. All decisions from management are final.
  • How do I order food or beverage?
  • Food may be ordered through any of our approved caterers, and all beverage must be ordered through Levy Restaurants. Food and beverage are typically ordered before your event, but we will provide phone numbers for on-site requests or concerns.
  • Where do I park?
  • All premium spaces are given an allotment of parking that are distributed via the Suite holder or Hospitality client. On most days, parking is free in Turn 3. But on days where parking is not free in Turn 3, guests without a reserved parking pass must secure parking offsite.
