The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will host the Indianapolis 8 Hour event, an Intercontinental GT Challenge sports car championship Oct. 9-11, 2026 in conjunction with its North American series, GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS. The 2026 Indianapolis 8 Hour race will occur on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The eight-hour endurance sports car race, which starts at noon (ET) Saturday, will feature two series racing simultaneously on the 14-turn, 2.439-mile road course at IMS – the Intercontinental GT Challenge and the GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS. Cars are expected to compete into the dusk, a unique sight for fans at the Racing Capital of the World.
- All tickets are digital/print-at-home only. No gate admission tickets will be delivered via mail.
- General Admission will be first-come, first-served in the open grandstands.
- General Admission does include garage access for all series.
Children 15 and under are admitted free with a paying adult in General Admission locations.

Looking to get closer to the garage area during the Indianapolis 8 Hour weekend? Then complete your experience with the Paddock Plus Pass.
- Paddock Plus passes do not include gate admission.
- Paddock Plus passes will not be mailed prior to the event. All passes must be picked up on-site during the event weekend.
- Paddock Plus pass allows additional access to an area between the garages and the track that GA would not have access to.
- Grants cold access to the space on the west side of the garages between the catch fence and the garage doors.
- No pit lane access.
- Everyone, regardless of age, must have a Paddock Plus pass to access the paddock.
