2023 Indy 500: Sculptor Will Behrends Celebrates 33 Years Sculpting Borg-Warner Trophy
World-renown sculptor Will Behrends has his own Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge starting grid, so to speak. Behrends, who has created the likeness for every Indy 500 winner that is featured on the Borg-Warner Trophy since 1990, added his 33rd race car driver likeness on the trophy last year when Marcus Ericsson won the 106th Running. Now, he’s in the midst of his 33rd year on the job, and the stars of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES wanted to say thanks for helping make the Borg-Warner Trophy one of the most beautiful and precious trophies in sports.
