Lights at the Brickyard presented by Fifth Third Bank returns Nov. 27 through Jan. 5, 2020 and will feature dozens of colorful displays totaling more than three million bright lights on a 2-mile course through the IMS infield and historic oval, including the front stretch and world-famous “Yard of Bricks” start-finish line.

  • Hours that Lights at the Brickyard are open are Sunday – Thursday 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., Friday & Saturday 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • How long does it take to go through the exhibit?
  • Depending on how many people are in line it should take approximately 20 minutes to drive through the entire display.
  • What is the cost to attend Lights at the Brickyard?
  • Speedy Pass tickets are available for purchase online, at the IMS ticket office and at the Speedy Pass entrance. General admission is ONLY available at the gate. Pricing is detailed in the table above.
  • What is the Speedy Pass?
  • The Speedy Pass is a ticket that will allow you to skip the main line to enter the facility. Online Speedy Passes must be printed before arriving or displayed on a smartphone. The Speedy Pass entrance is via the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course on West 16th Street.
  • How often can I go through the Lights at the Brickyard exhibit with my ticket?
  • Each ticket is good for one trip through the exhibit. One ticket per vehicle. On selected nights, fans can take a Victory Lap for an additional $5.
  • Can I purchase tickets at the gate?
  • Yes, you may purchase Standard Pass and Speedy Pass at the gate. The Standard Lane and Speedy Lane entrances will accept cash and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express). All ticket sales are final – no refunds, no exchanges, no exceptions. Only the Speedy Pass is available for purchase online. It is encouraged to do so and print your pass at home, or display the ticket on your smartphone, as this will save you time and money!
  • Can I show you my ticket on my smartphone?
  • Yes, print-at-home / digital tickets can be scanned via your smartphone.
  • Can I park and walk through?
  • No, Lights at the Brickyard is a drive-through experience — no stopping allowed! You are welcome to drive slowly (5 mph), roll down the windows, take photos, turn your music up, but you must stay in the vehicle. New in 2019, from Dec. 13-24, there is an out-of-car experience available in the IMS Pagoda Plaza. This experience is free to all customers and can be accessed after completing the traditional driving experience.
  • What else can I experience after visiting Lights at the Brickyard?
  • After your visit, hold on to your gate handout! When you visit the Town of Speedway, be sure to bring it with you for 10% off your meal at several participating restaurants. There are also numerous coupons inside the handout from our proud partners of Lights at the Brickyard.
  • Are group discounts available?
  • There are no group discounts, groups are encouraged to come in large vehicles and buses.
  • What is the route through the track, and access points?
  • Guests that are purchasing General Admission passes for Lights at the Brickyard will follow along the curbside lane along the right side of W. 16th Street to access. Speedy Pass guests will use the center lane of westbound 16th Street and will cut through curbside traffic to enter into Brickyard Crossings Golf Course with the help of Speedway Police as needed.   • Absolutely! We love holidays! We are open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at regular hours. Our hours are Sunday – Thursday 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., Friday & Saturday 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
