2006 Indianapolis 500 | Official Full-Race Broadcast
The 90th Running of the Indianapolis 500 was held on Sunday, May 28, 2006, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race saw one of the most dramatic finishes in Indy 500 history. 19-year old rookie Marco Andretti battled Sam Hornish Jr. to the finish line. With only 450 feet from the finish line, Hornish Jr. passed Andretti for the win resulting in the second-closest finish in Indy 500 history at the time.
