Jay Leno To Serve As Red Bull Indianapolis GP Grand Marshal
Yamaha and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are pleased to bring legendary comedian and late-night television host Jay Leno to serve as grand marshal of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP motorcycle race. Leno, an avid motorsports enthusiast and collector of motorcycles and cars, will meet with MotoGP teams and riders on Race Day, Sunday, Aug. 29 at IMS and also present a trophy to a podium finisher.

Lorenzo Tops Brno Test; 'Team Texas' Strong Heading To Indy
One day after earning his seventh victory of the season, points leader Jorge Lorenzo dominated a rain-shortened MotoGP test session Aug. 16 at the Automotodrom Brno in the Czech Republic. The next stop for Lorenzo is Indianapolis for the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29. He looms as a big favorite to become the first two-time winner of the annual MotoGP race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Dominant Lorenzo Rolls Into Indy After Czech Victory
Defending Red Bull Indianapolis GP winner Jorge Lorenzo continued his historic season by earning his seventh victory in 10 starts this season for the Fiat Yamaha Team, winning the Czech Republic Grand Prix on Aug. 15 at Brno. Lorenzo, who started third, took the lead from pole sitter Dani Pedrosa on the first of 22 laps and beat Pedrosa to the finish by 5.494 seconds.

American Standout DiSalvo To Ride Moto2 Wild-Card Entry At Indy
American rider Jason DiSalvo will compete in the Moto2 class at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a wild-card entry. DiSalvo, 26, from Stafford, N.Y., will ride an FTR M210 backed by GP Tech in Moto2, which features motorcycles with 600cc Honda engines and Dunlop tires. Former racer Geoff Maloney is managing the team.

Nicky Hayden Pedals With Two Wheels
2006 MotoGP World Champion and avid road cyclist Nicky Hayden turned laps on a bicycle at the Major Taylor Velodrome in Indianapolis on Wednesday, Aug. 4. It was quite a contrast to Hayden's "day job," that of riding a Ducati Team motorcycle at 200 mph on the global MotoGP circuit, which includes the Red Bull Indianapolis GP at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Aug. 27-29.

The famous number 34 used by American motorcycle racing legend Kevin Schwantz is coming out of retirement for the first time since Schwantz stopped racing in 1995, as American Roger Lee Hayden will ride the No. 34 Team Honda/Moriwaki wild-card entry in the Moto2 class at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Schwantz is the team manager.
