Upscale viewing opportunities are proving extremely popular with fans looking for a unique, up-close perspective on the newest world-class event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Red Bull Air Race. The Sky Lounge is sold out for race weekend, Oct. 1-2, but tickets are still available next door in the Pagoda Plaza in the Checkered Flag Club, which promises a terrific experience while watching the best pilots in the world navigate above IMS. “We’re thrilled fans are so excited for the Red Bull Air Race and can’t wait to see a packed Sky Lounge on Race Weekend,” IMS President Doug Boles said. “But if you’re looking for a top-notch hospitality experience, you haven’t run out of time just yet. You can still grab a ticket to watch the Red Bull Air Race from the comfort of the Checkered Flag Club – and say you were there for the inaugural event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway This premium area also allows fans to watch pilots take off and land inside the oval, which we haven’t seen at IMS in more than a century.” The Checkered Flag Club, with one-day packages starting at $400 and two-day packages at $635, offers a premium hospitality package located in the IMS Pavilion in Pagoda Plaza. Tickets include access to the hospitality hangar walk and the public hangar viewing area, located a few feet in front of the hangars, an area only available at a few stops on the worldwide Red Bull Air Race calendar. Benefits include climate-controlled race suites with private restrooms, an open buffet with a selection of local and international cuisine, complimentary bar with soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and live race action played on TV screens. Reserved parking is in Lot 2 just outside the main straightaway, with one parking pass provided for every four tickets purchased.
