There’s even more reason to attend the spectacular Lights at the Brickyard holiday display this year, with $5 of every admission fee on Monday evenings supporting United Way of Central Indiana. Lights at the Brickyard runs Nov. 17-Dec. 30 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and features 2.5 million bright lights in festive holiday displays on an expanded route that stretches over 2 miles through the IMS infield and crosses the iconic Yard of Bricks. In celebration of United Way’s 100th anniversary, Lights at the Brickyard will include a United Way light display. “We’re proud to partner with United Way of Central Indiana to provide guests an opportunity to support their fellow Hoosiers during the holiday season,” IMS President J. Douglas Boles said. “As our friends at United Way are celebrating their 100th birthday, this is the perfect time to remind everyone of the vital services they provide to so many individuals and families.” In its debut last year, Lights at the Brickyard received rave reviews from thousands of visitors who experienced the colorful light displays and enjoyed the chance to cross the Yard of Bricks in a personal vehicle. The attraction is open from 6-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 6-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of shorter lines and the chance to donate to families in need through United Way on Mondays. “We fight for our children to have a better education and for our struggling families to gain financial stability, but we don’t win this fight alone,” said Ann D. Murtlow, president and CEO of United Way of Central Indiana. “With supportive partners like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and with the generosity of the visitors to Lights at the Brickyard on ‘United Way Mondays,’ we inch closer to tackling the toughest problems our neighbors face, especially during the holiday season.” For more information on Lights at the Brickyard or to purchase a Speedy Pass for even faster access, visit IMS.com/Lights.
