"Turbo" is a high-velocity 3D animated comedy about a garden variety snail who dares to dream big -- and fast.
After a freak accident gives him super speed, Turbo embarks on a journey to realize his dream of competing in the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race. Ryan Reynolds is the voice of Turbo.
Hulman & Co. CEO Mark Miles, who attended a recent screening in Los Angeles, said DreamWorks Animation CEO Jefferey Katzenberg noted that the film has received exceptionally positive feedback from focus groups.
“It’s not like I’m a movie critic, but it’s really good,” he said. “They have done a lot of their market testing and their message to us was that it was testing better with adults, young kids and teenagers than expected. I look at it as a big advertisement for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and INDYCAR.”
The feature film, which opens in theaters July 19, is produced by Lisa Stewart and directed by David Soren.
