Rahal was the fastest among the full complement of 35 drivers who turned laps under sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-80s, with a top lap of 226.047 mph in the No. 15 United Rentals Honda. Rahal’s top lap came with the benefit of an aerodynamic tow, as his best solo lap was 219.368 mph.
