FGL Fest
Florida Georgia Line Pumped To Lead Star Lineup at IMS during FGL Fest on Sept. 7

Global music superstars Florida Georgia Line are revved up to host the FGL Fest music festival Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, an event more than a year in the making.

Persistent rain forced the cancellation of the inaugural FGL Fest last September at IMS, so Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard are pumped to finally perform at the Racing Capital of the World as the headliners of a blockbuster lineup of artists.

“There’s just a big buildup of us doing the first annual, so we’re all jacked,” Kelley said. “We feel like it’s going to be even better than it could have been. We’ve had a lot of time to plan.”

The must-see concert amplifies the Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard Powered by Florida Georgia Line Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, Sept. 8 on the legendary 2.5-mile oval at IMS. Tickets for the race and FGL Fest are on sale at IMS.com.

Since FGL Fest is the chart-topping duo’s own music festival, they got to hand-pick the lineup. Other artists include Blanco Brown, Dan + Shay, Nelly, Mitchell Tenpenny, Canaan Smith and Payton Smith.

“We got Nelly, Blanco Brown, we just added him,” Kelley said. “He’s got a big ‘ol hit runnin’ up radio right now (“Te Git Up”). Dan + Shay have been on tour with us all year, so we know it’s going be something the fans are going to want show up and show out and have a good time.”

The idea for Florida Georgia Line to host their festival as part of a major NASCAR weekend was a no-brainer for the band.

“We really feel like the whole NASCAR industry and the fan base is pretty much the same as what we see every night, and we know it is,” Kelley said. “So we love partnering with them, and it’s just going to be a really cool weekend full of music, full of racing.

“I grew up in Daytona going to the ‘500’ year after year after year. Tyler loves racing dirt bikes, so it’s right in line with who we are, what we love, and we always love just kind of trailblazing a new road for us.”

Grammy-nominated Florida Georgia Line boasts the best-selling digital country single of all time (SoundScan) with 11X-Platinum breakout “Cruise.” As the first country act to achieve RIAA’s Diamond certification (10 million copies sold) and holding the longest reign on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart (50 straight weeks) with 5X-Platinum, No. 1 “Meant to Be” with Bebe Rexha, the global superstars have topped 8.9 billion streams, exceeded 33.6 million track downloads and sold more than 4.6 million albums worldwide.

FGL’s fourth studio album, “Can’t Say I Ain’t Country” (BMLG Records) features the chart-rising single “Talk You Out of It” and Platinum, No. 1 “Simple” (16th No. 1 overall as artists). Playing to millions of fans spanning massive arena and stadium headline tours, FGL is on the Can’t Say I Ain’t Country Tour and will reprise Florida Georgia Line Live From Las Vegas due to popular demand, with FGL Fest also upcoming. Honored by the AMAs, CMA Awards, Billboard Music Awards, CMT Music Awards and ACM Awards, FGL’s creative empire also includes thriving business initiatives: Old Camp Peach Pecan Whiskey, FGL HOUSE, meet + greet, Tree Vibez Music and Tribe Kelley.
