The Family Fun Area, located near the Family Viewing Mounds adjacent to Turn 2 in the IMS infield, will feature inflatable bouncers, face painters, several interactive displays geared toward children and more. The area will be open from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and is free.

June 23, 2010 | By Paul Kelly Talented young riders from the United States and Canada will compete in a United States Grand Prix Racers Union (USGPRU) event during the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. USGPRU is the premier feeder series in North America for young riders aspiring to race professionally. Riders aged 12 to 16 will race at Indianapolis in a special youth class, riding Moriwaki MD250H machines featuring Honda engines.

The Miller Lite Cars and Guitars concert starts at noon (ET) on the Plaza Stage in the Pagoda Plaza. It's free to all ticket holders that day at IMS.

June 16, 2010 | By Paul Kelly Grand Prix motorcycle racing legend Kevin Schwantz will lead the American Honda Moto2 wild-card effort at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with fellow American Roger Lee Hayden riding the Honda-powered Moriwaki MD600. Hayden, 27, from Owensboro, Ky., will make his Moto2 debut at the same event in which his older brother, 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden, will attempt to record his third consecutive Red Bull Indianapolis GP podium finish. Nicky Hayden finished second for Repsol Honda in 2008 and third for the Ducati Team in 2009 in the MotoGP class at IMS.
