Comprised of Brian Kelley from Ormond Beach, Florida, and Tyler Hubbard from Monroe, Georgia, the record-breaking duo racked up 13 industry awards throughout 2014 and recently scored 5 ACM Award nominations; their first nod for the prestigious and fan-voted Entertainer of the Year in addition to Vocal Duo of the Year, Single Record of the Year for “Dirt,” and Vocal Event of the Year for “This Is How We Roll” featuring Luke Bryan and “The South.”

Florida Georgia Line’s performance the day before the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race comes one year after the inaugural Legends Day concert presented by Firestone featuring Jason Aldean that entertained thousands of country music and Verizon IndyCar Series fans the day before the 2014 Indianapolis 500.

“Legends Day presented by Firestone is a great opportunity for race fans to celebrate the history of the race and look forward to the following day when the next chapter of the Indianapolis 500 will be written,” said J. Douglas Boles, Indianapolis Motor Speedway president. “Capping the Legends Day off with a Florida Georgia Line concert in the Speedway’s infield is the perfect way to get the energy level up and build the excitement for the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500!”

Florida Georgia Line is continuing the momentum with the release of their GOLD-certified sophomore album ANYTHING GOES (Republic Nashville) soaring to a No. 1 debut on the all-genre Billboard 200 and Billboard Top Country Albums charts. Fueled by their hot Top 5-and-climbing single “Sun Daze” and platinum, No. 1 smash “Dirt,” music critics and fans alike have embraced the superstar duo’s fresh sound.

Breaking the record for longest No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart, FGL’s signature anthem “Cruise” and remix with Nelly has sold over 8 million downloads and is the best-selling digital Country single of all time. FGL has skyrocketed to stardom becoming the only artist in history to join Brooks & Dunn in achieving four back-to-back, multi-week No. 1 singles and selling over 21 million tracks worldwide of their 2X PLATINUM debut HERE’S TO THE GOOD TIMES and ANYTHING GOES.

As the Official Tire of the Verizon IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis 500, Firestone’s sponsorship of the second annual Legends Day concert exemplifies its longstanding relationship with IMS.

“Firestone is a work-hard, play-hard brand, and we believe country music fans and Florida Georgia Line are synonymous with that identity,” said Philip Dobbs, Chief Marketing Officer at Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. “Last year’s Legends Day concert featuring Jason Aldean was a tremendous success with more than 40,000 fans filling Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s infield, and we’ve worked hard to bring race fans and country music fans another outstanding experience this year.”

The concert will feature two different opening acts including ACM “New Artist of the Year” nominee Thomas Rhett, whose debut album “It Goes Like This” has spawned two consecutive PLATINUM certified No. 1 hits, including a three-week run with “It Goes Like This.” The project also produced the PLATINUM certified No. 1 smash “Get Me Some Of That” as well as two Top 15 hits, “Beer With Jesus” and “Something to Do With My Hands.” Additionally, he showcased his swagger with his latest single “Make Me Wanna” sitting at No. 5 on the charts and topping Billboard’s list of Best Country Songs of 2014.

Also performing on the IMS Turn 4 stage will be up-and-coming country music sensation Frankie Ballard, whose current album “Sunshine & Whiskey” has been hailed by Rolling Stone as “required listening” and delivered two consecutive No. 1 gold-certified singles with “Helluva Life” and “Sunshine & Whiskey.” The singer-guitarist recently released his latest single, “Young & Crazy” to country radio and previewed the new track on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!
