Act Soon To Buy 2011 Indy 500 General Admission Tickets At 2010 Prices

Speed is essential for Indianapolis 500 teams, and it’s also important for fans looking for a great value for “The Most Important Race in History” on Sunday, May 29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Fans should visit www.imstix.com or the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Ticket Office before Feb. 1 to buy general admission tickets for the 2011 Indianapolis 500 race at 2010 prices.
Fans can purchase general admission tickets at last year’s pricing levels through Jan. 31: Practice days, $5; Qualification days, $10; Miller Lite Carb Day, $10; Race Day, $20.
From Feb. 1, the prices will be: Practice days, $10; Qualification days, $15; Miller Lite Carb Day, $20; Race Day, $30. This is the first increase in general admission ticket prices since 1993 and the first Practice Day increase since 1992.
Lower-priced general admission tickets until Feb. 1 is one of the great values offered to fans for the 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500, “The Most Important Race in History.” IMS also is offering free general admission for fans 12 and under, new for 2011.
All children under 12 will be admitted for free every day of on-track activity from Opening Day, Saturday, May 14 through Race Day, Sunday, May 29 when accompanied by an adult general admission ticket holder.
Fans have seat access with a general admission ticket on Practice and Qualification days and Miller Lite Carb Day. There is no seat access with a general admission ticket on Race Day.
Tickets are on sale online at www.imstix.com, by calling the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area, or by visiting the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday.
