Country Music Rising Star Luke Bryan To Perform July 24 At Brickyard 400

Capitol Records Nashville singer-songwriter Luke Bryan will perform Saturday, July 24 on Qualifying Day for the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The Miller Lite Cars and Guitars concert starts at noon (ET) on the Plaza Stage in the Pagoda Plaza. It’s free to all ticket holders that day at IMS.

Bryan is enjoying the tremendous success of his Capitol Records Nashville album, “Doin’ My Thing.” The album landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart selling more than 57,000 albums in its first week of release, more than doubling the first week sales of his debut album, “I’ll Stay Me,” in 2007.

Georgia native Bryan recently celebrated two wins at the 45th Annual ACM Awards as Top New Solo Vocalist and Top New Artist. Bryan’s latest single, “Rain Is A Good Thing,” is his fastest rising release to date and follows the #1 hit “Do I,” co-written with Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.

The video for “Do I” was named Breakthrough Video of the Year this month at the 2010 CMT Music Awards.

In addition to headlining shows, Bryan also has toured with country superstars Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley and Trace Adkins.

Bryan honed his traditional country sound while playing on the college circuit. A popular spring break concert at Daytona Beach, Fla., sparked the idea for Bryan to record a special EP to students on spring break. Bryan has since cut two “Spring Break” EP’s, with the latest one, “Spring Break 2 … Hangover Edition,” released March 2 exclusively at iTunes. He recently completed his “Spring Break 2010” tour in Florida.
