Indianapolis 500 fans have just one week left for a chance to win one of the most unique prizes in racing – a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Pace Car Replica delivered to their home by a star of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

Any fan who reorders or applies for 2011 Indianapolis 500 tickets online at www.imstix.com by 11:59 p.m. (ET) Monday, June 14 will be registered for a chance to win the car.

The grand prize Camaro SS Pace Car Replica of the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Sweepstakes was the personal ride of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Chairman Mari Hulman George in May and one of only 250 replicas produced. Indianapolis 500 drivers such as Graham Rahal, John Andretti, Sarah Fisher, Vitor Meira and Ed Carpenter also took the muscle car for a spin in May.

Fans can see the car in a variety of fun videos at the IMS YouTube channel, featuring Mari Hulman George and Indy 500 drivers Rahal, Andretti, Fisher, Meira, Carpenter, Jay Howard, Mario Romancini and Alex Lloyd. The videos can be easily shared by fans on all popular social networks, including Facebook and Twitter, and on blogs, forums and websites.

The car, which has a retail value of $41,950, features a striking “Inferno Orange Metallic” paint scheme with “White Diamond” rally stripes, a modern interpretation of the original rally stripe that debuted on the 1969 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car.

A modern sports car, the 2010 Chevy Camaro Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replica is powered by a 400-horsepower, 6.2-litre V8 engine and features the muscular styling that made Camaro a household name beginning in the 1960s. The first year for Camaro to pace the Indianapolis 500 was 1967, and it has since paced the race in 1969, 1982, 1993, 2009 and 2010.

The 2011 Indianapolis 500 – the 100th anniversary of the race – is scheduled for Sunday, May 29.
The 2011 Indianapolis 500 Mile Race will be an epic celebration of the past 100 years of the “500,” which first took place May 30, 1911 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Additional details of the Speedway’s celebration of a century of competition, innovation, pageantry and tradition, along with the fan experience, will be announced in the future.
