Indianapolis 500 Mile Race ticket customers can register to win a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Pace Car Replica by reordering or applying for tickets online at www.imstix.com between May 31 and Monday, June 14.

The grand prize Camaro SS Pace Car Replica of the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Sweepstakes is the personal ride of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Chairman Mari Hulman George this May. Indianapolis 500 drivers such as Graham Rahal, John Andretti, Sarah Fisher, Vitor Meira and Ed Carpenter also have taken the muscle car for a spin this month.

“One lucky Indianapolis 500 fan is going to drive away with one of the best sports cars of this era,” said Jeff Belskus, president and CEO of Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corp. “The 2010 Camaro SS Pace Car Replica combines style, handling and comfort, and we thank our partners at Chevy for helping us make a dream come true for one of our customers.”

One of the stars of the Indianapolis 500 also will deliver the car to the winner.

Fans will be entered to win one of only 250 Indianapolis 500 Camaro SS Pace Car Replicas produced by reordering tickets online at www.imstix.com from midnight (ET) Monday morning, May 31 through 11:59 p.m. Monday, June 14.

The car, which has a retail value of $41,950, features a striking “Inferno Orange Metallic” paint scheme with “White Diamond” rally stripes, a modern interpretation of the original rally stripe that debuted on the 1969 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car.

A modern sports car, the 2010 Chevy Camaro Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replica is powered by a 400-horsepower, 6.2-litre V8 engine and features the muscular styling that made Camaro a household name beginning in the 1960s. The first year for Camaro to pace the Indianapolis 500 was 1967, and it has since paced the race in 1969, 1982, 1993, 2009 and 2010.

The 2011 Indianapolis 500 – the 100th anniversary of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” – is scheduled for Sunday, May 29.

The 2011 Indianapolis 500 Mile Race will be an epic celebration of the past 100 years of the “500,” which first took place May 30, 1911 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Additional details of the Speedway’s celebration of a century of competition, innovation, pageantry and tradition, along with the fan experience, will be announced in the future.
