Golfers Can 'Pay the Temp' as Brickyard Crossing Opens March 17

The highly acclaimed Brickyard Crossing Golf Course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will open for the 2016 season on Thursday, March 17, and players will receive an excellent greens fee value through Thursday, March 31, with the “Pay the Temperature” promotion.

The special pricing is simple: The air temperature at a player’s arrival time is their greens fee. If it’s 60 degrees Fahrenheit, a golfer pays $60. Tee times are available starting at 8 a.m. In addition to the “Pay the Temp” promotion, Brickyard Crossing will offer special spring rates of $80 per player ($60 twilight after 3 p.m.) from April 1-15.

The greens fee for the 2016 season will remain $100 per player ($60 twilight after 4 p.m.) beginning April 16, which includes an E-Z-Go cart equipped with a GPS system.

Tee times can be made by calling 317-492-6417 or online at www.brickyardcrossing.com. Tee times may be made 30 days in advance. Also available for men and women are 2016 model TaylorMade M2 rental clubs.

Brickyard Crossing, designed by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye, is a public course available for play seven days per week. It includes four holes inside the world-famous IMS oval and 14 holes adjacent to the backstretch of the racetrack.

The course has hosted PGA Tour, LPGA Tour and Champions Tour events and earned many national honors, including designation as one of “Golfweek’s Best Courses You Can Play” in 2010 and one of Forbes Magazine’s “12 Best Value Golf Courses in the U.S.” in 2011. The course also has been voted as one of America’s top 100 public golf courses by Golf Digest and Golfweek.

Lights at the Brickyard Puts IMS in a New Light for Fans

And then there’s the ubiquitous Wing & Wheel logo, on enough of my clothes and other tchotchkes that the kids can draw it by heart.
