Mr Hulman
I met him in my youth and also in my teens. he had a hand shake with the feeling that he cared about anyone he talked to. The hallowed grounds are very special to me. the victories the defeat and yes and even death. It also has given me such a special feeling because i asked my wife to marry me on The Yard of Brick. It is the Greatest Specticle in racing. Sorry Nascar not even Daytona come close.. Ed & Carla

God Bless Tony Hulman
All of us who either live in Indianapolis, live in Indiana, or are race fans should thank God for Tony Hulman for rescuing the Speedway from a certain demise in 1945 and building it into, without question, The Greatest Race Course in the World. He recognized that The Indianapolis 500 was as much a part of Indiana as the Kentucky Derby was to Kentucky and it should be preserved. Without Mr. Hulman, none of us would be enjoying this centennial; we would just hear stories from folks over 75 who would tell us about a big speedway they used to have on the edge of town and a big race they used to have on Memorial Day. Because of Tony Hulman, you can go just about anywhere in the civilized world and people have heard of the Speedway or The Indianapolis 500. Never forget, too, that he accomplished this feat without any tax dollars, a tradition that continues to this day, not to mention you can still bring in your own food and beverages; try that at most other sporting venues! The Indianapolis Motor Speedway: the Greatest Place on Earth!!! Thank you, Anton Hulman, Jr.!

A Hulman legacy
Mr. Hulman, Mr. George; America owes you an acknowledgement of gratitude for your devotion to the sport, for your preservation of this historic landmark, and your dedication to the continuation of the Indianapolis 500.
The sport, the Speedway, and the future of both could not be placed in any more capable trust than that of the Hulman/George family.

Glory Days
I really hopes that the Indianapolis 500 will reachieve the status it had. It breaks my heart to see all those empty seats on pole and qualifying days....the Hulman/George family has ALWAYS done a great job regardless. I'm always filled with emotion when I travel (alone) from Washington D.C. to watch the race. (section H)
