 Indianapolis 500 Featured In New Book Highlighting 'Great Americana' The Indianapolis 500 was named as one of "10 great examples of Americana" in a new National Geographic book, "USA 101," by Gary McKechnie. Other events on the list include the Little League World Series, Miss America Pageant, the Tournament of Roses, the Grand Ole Opry and more.
