Super Weekend Fan of the Day
Opening day has arrived at IMS for the Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard and fans were everywhere watching practice, waiting to see their favorite drivers, and buy a souvenir or two. Walking near the Social Media Garage I came across two Brickyard 400 fans Tena Clark and Nik Muller who were more than happy to share their experiences at IMS and the Crown Royal Presents the "Curtiss Shaver 400" at the Brickyard with me. Tena and Nik are big NASCAR fans and have been to many tracks and races like Bristol, Daytona, and Homestead. Nik has been to the 400 about 14 times he said, with this being Tena's first time at IMS. Nik loves the open atmosphere that IMS offers with the driver interactions and access that he gets it is unlike other tracks. Tena enjoys being able to walk in the infield and see all the IMS attractions inside the track. Unfortunately they will not be able to attend the races this weekend but they will definitely be watching I am sure. Both of them were fans of past Brickyard winner Ricky Rudd and were ecstatic when we won the 400 back in 1997. Both of them are rooting for Greg Biffle in Sunday's race and would be very happy race fans if he wins the race. Nik is a huge fan of the hauler parade and enjoys the cookouts prior to watching the race.
