2012 Miles Ahead Teen Driving Program Kicks Off
The 2012 Miles Ahead Teen Driving Intensive kicked off last week with a national media day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This unique program for licensed teenage drivers features classroom instruction as well as extensive time behind the wheel of a passenger vehicle on the IMS road course. The Miles Ahead program is the only driving school to take place at the Speedway in its 103-year history.

IMS Guest Services Positions Available At Job Fair March 17
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway seeks experienced, hard-working and friendly representatives to join the IMS Guest Services team and become the face of the facility during the 2012 season.
Interviews for available opportunities during the Indianapolis 500, Super Weekend at the Brickyard and Red Bull Indianapolis GP will take place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 17 during the Guest Services Job Fair at Brickyard Crossing, located at 4400 W. 16th St. in Indianapolis. Doors open at 8 a.m.

For the second day in a row, poor weather conditions affected the MotoGP test at Sepang International Circuit, where day two was interrupted by precipitation shortly after midday. The track surface didn’t dry, and the teams were forced to suspend their work and wait for tomorrow’s final day.

Spies Tops Rain Hindered Second Day At Sepang
Day two of the second Official MotoGP™ Test of 2012 at the Sepang International Circuit finished with Ben Spies leading the field after rain hindered testing and Honda riders were sidelined.
There was plenty of early activity at the start of the second day of testing at the Malaysian circuit, with the riders who entered the track immediately bettering their times from the day before thanks to cooler track temperatures.

Ducati Team Update: Rain Affects Day 1 At Sepang Test
Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden nonetheless discovered a number of positive aspects in the shortened day. The Italian decided to take advantage of the wet track in order to try out some changes to the rain setup, while the American received confirmation that the recent operation on his left shoulder was successful, and despite his fitness still not being at 100 percent, he was able to start working with the GP12.

Gleaners Teams Up With IMS To Feed The Hungry
On a yearly basis, thousands of individuals depend on food and other critical grocery products provided by Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana to hunger relief agencies throughout 21 counties in central and southeastern Indiana. Gleaners was founded in 1980 and is a member of Feeding America, the nation's food bank network. Since then, the food bank has distributed more than 275 million pounds of food and critical grocery products to hunger relief agencies serving needy Hoosiers. In Gleaners' 21-county service area, more than 311,000 people live in poverty—and one in three is a child. In fact, one out of every five Hoosier kids is now living in poverty. The Spaniard has won at least two races in every year he's been in MotoGP. He's universally considered one of the sport's "aliens" -- a phrase originally coined by Randy De Puniet to describe the few men capable of winning MotoGP races on a regular basis.
