Shaw drove CAR #3 in 1932....
This was the 1st or 7 different Indy 500s
SHAW he LED the 500 and is by the way
one of only 6 drivers to have led the Indy
500 for 500 Total laps or more
(So please, Speedway photo dept, see how historic

    Ok...BUT...Come on

Bergere drove car #22 which looks like the next to last one here going right back to left, finished 3rd, But he ws never really was in contention to win...still this STUDEBAKER TEAM the rest of these guys started deep in the field wihtout doing much, THIS PHOTO show up over and over in books, accounts of the '32 Race....

Come on, With your exetnsive IMS photo files archives it would be nice IF you dug out some photos of the REAL CONTENDERS who fought it out and led the 1932 Indy 500 as follows

BILLY ARONLD car #5 led 57 of the first 58 laps
Bob Carey car #36 led at 200 miles and for 36 laps in all
and Wilbur Shaw car #26 he was yet to WIN or even finish 2nd but made his presence known leading 46 laps in the Indy 500....
Of course, '32 WINNER Fred Frame led 58 laps speeding along then backing off with an overheating engine and sped up enough to hold on
It would be nice to see some of him at racing speed, not just standing around grinning or signing papers on the hood of Harry Hartz' Miller Hartz Spl.
