On the cusp of the 101st Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil, 93.1 WIBC and 107.5FM/1070 The Fan announced Tales from the Track presented by Relay Indiana. The celebratory event will take place from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 23 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) Museum. Not only will guests watch the closest finish in “500” history, but they’ll hear a live account of what happened from Indy 500 champion Al Unser Jr. and runner-up Scott Goodyear. “The finish of the 1992 Indianapolis 500 is one of the most iconic moments in the 108-year history of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Betsy Smith, executive director of the non-profit Indianapolis Motor Speedway Foundation. “The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum is proud to partner with Emmis Communications to offer fans a chance to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this historic event surrounded by some of the most famous machines in the history of the Brickyard.” Tales from the Track includes appetizers, soft drinks and door prizes up for grabs during the event. Individual tickets cost $95 per ticket, which includes entry into the IMS Museum for this exclusive, after-hours event. Accounts from Unser and Goodyear will be moderated by IMS Historian Donald Davidson, as WIBC’s Terri Stacy facilitates questions from the audience. Individuals interested in learning more about the event should visit the WIBC website. Space in this event is limited; purchase a ticket online today!
