USA Today's 10Best Readers Choice selects the best travel destinations and attractions through reader votes, from best historic hotels to best pools to best family vacation spots. Now, its panelists are turning their attention to motorsports – and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is prominent in two new polls. Voting is now open for USA Today’s 10Best Readers Choice in the “Best Motorsports Race” and “Best NASCAR Track,” with IMS featured in each. The Indianapolis 500 is up for “Best Motorsports Race,” competing against 19 other events in the U.S. and around the world. Juan Pablo Montoya won Sunday’s 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, prevailing in a thrilling 15-lap dash to the finish that more than 250,000 fans watched live at IMS and millions more watched on television and listened to through the IMS Radio Network. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is also a candidate for “Best NASCAR Track,” one of 20 tracks to choose from on the NASCAR schedule. IMS has hosted the Crown Royal Presents the “Your Hero’s Name Here” 400 at the Brickyard since 1994, with Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt on its list of champions. Voting is open now and ends at noon ET on Monday, June 22, and you can vote once every day. Vote here for the Indianapolis 500 and here for IMS as best NASCAR track and spread the word!
