May 22, 2015 | By Andretti Autosport
On Sunday, May 24, when the green flag waves at the 99th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, there will be another reason to say “Start Me Up!” This year’s Andretti Autosport No. 25 car will bring together two of the world’s best known names, The Rolling Stones and Andretti, as the car will be wrapped in a full front-to-back Rolling Stones ZIP CODE tour theme. On the same day that The Rolling Stones’ 15-city North American tour kicks off in San Diego, over 300,000 race fans at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and millions following the action on TV worldwide, will be captivated by the No. 25 entry driven by internationally accomplished British driver Justin Wilson. “I’m really excited to have the Rolling Stones on the side on the No. 25,” said Indy 500 driver Wilson. “For the biggest race of the year, to have one of the biggest rock bands in history is just incredible. Listening to the Rolling Stones was a Sunday tradition in our house. We would wake up and my Dad would have the music on full blast. I’m really excited and cannot wait to unveil the car.” After all the pulse-pounding, on-track, Verizon IndyCar Series action has ended, Stones fans will have the opportunity to catch the band when the ZIP CODE hits the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 4. Tickets and VIP packages are on sale now. For information please visit www.rollingstones.com. AEG Live’s Concerts West is the promoter of The Rolling Stones ZIP CODE tour. The Rolling Stones’ Independence Day concert at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is promoted in conjunction with GLOBAL LIVE and is the first-ever non-race week concert at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
