Vazquez Wins Moto3 Race in Dramatic Fashion at IMS

With a pass in the closing moments, Spain’s Efren Vazquez won the first Grand Prix race of his career on Sunday during the Red Bull Indianapolis GP at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Vazquez, who qualified second on his Honda, passed leader Romano Fenati of Italy on the inside on the main straightaway during the final lap to win the 23-lap Moto3 race. Vazquez’s winning margin over runner-up Fenati was 0.065 of a second. Finishing third was polesitter and Moto3 points leader Jack Miller of Australia on his KTM bike.
