Young Singing Sensations Cimorelli To Perform In Kids Zone

Breakout singing group Cimorelli, a popular favorite among younger music fans, has been added to a robust list of standout acts that will perform on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 during the Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Cimorelli will perform at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27 in the IMS Kids Zone hosted by Radio Disney Indianapolis located just north of Pagoda Plaza.
Comprised of six sisters from Sacramento, Calif., Cimorelli became well-known through online videos showcasing Christina, 22; Katherine, 21; Lisa, 19; Amy, 18; Lauren, 14; and Dani, 13, singing current pop hits in a cappella style.
Each girl was introduced to music between the ages of 2 and 4 by their mother, Lynne, who is a composer and former choir director who taught the girls classical piano, three-part barbershop harmonizing and vocal jazz. In 2002, Christina, Katherine and Lisa began to perform locally and recruited Amy and Lauren as they became old enough to join the group. The youngest sister, Dani, joined the group last summer.
A popular YouTube video of Cimorelli signing Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA” in August 2009 led to the group signing with Republic Records in 2010. Cimorelli’s YouTube Channel, where fans can watch clips of the group performing songs by Katy Perry, Taio Cruz and Bruno Mars, has more than 2 million subscribers and has amassed more than 500 million views since it was introduced two years ago.
In the process of recording their debut album, the Cimorelli sisters have been inspired to write, sing and perform music by acts such as The Jackson 5, The Beach Boys and Stevie Wonder. The group’s latest single and EP, “Made In America,” are available at all digital retailers.
Big Machine Records artists also performing during the Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard include headliner Justin Moore, who will play Saturday, July 27 on the Pagoda Plaza Stage after the Indiana 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race with The Cadillac Three opening the show. Moore also will play a pre-race mini concert Sunday, July 28 on the IMS main straightaway before the 1 p.m. start of the 20th Running of the Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 at the Brickyard Powered by BigMachineRecords.com.
Other Big Machine Label Group stars that will perform Sunday at the Brickfest Music Festival beginning at 9 a.m. include Season 3 winner of NBC’s hit show, “The Voice,” Cassadee Pope, who also will sing the national anthem during pre-race ceremonies. Rising stars Laura Bell Bundy, The Cadillac Three and Dustin Lynch will perform pre-race concerts on the infield stage inside Turn 2, near the IMS Hall of Fame Museum.
All performances are free with admission to the track for each day.
The 20th running of the Crown Royal Presents the Samuel Deeds 400 at the Brickyard Powered by BigMachineRecords.com on Sunday, July 28 will be the climactic event of the second annual Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard.
The weekend schedule also features the NASCAR Nationwide Series racing in the Indiana 250 Saturday, July 27 on the IMS oval, and GRAND-AM Road Racing conducting separate races for its Rolex Sports Car Series and Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge on Friday, July 26 on the 13-turn IMS Grand Prix road course.

2013 Kroger Super Weekend tickets: Ticket orders for the 2013 Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard can be made at www.ims.com/tickets and through the IMS Ticket Office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area, or by visiting the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday.
General admission tickets will cost $10 for Thursday, July 25, $30 for Friday, July 26, $25 for Saturday, July 27 and $30 for Sunday, July 28. A four-day Kroger Super Weekend general admission ticket is $80, a great value for the ultimate race weekend. A three-day general admission ticket (Thursday-Saturday) is $65.
Children ages 12 and under will be admitted free any of the four days of the Super Weekend at the Brickyard when accompanied by an adult with a general admission ticket.
Reserved tickets for the Saturday and Sunday action also will be available at various price ranges.
