Great Music Lineup For IMS Fans At Kroger Super Weekend

An impressive array of live music from nine national and local acts will be available for fans to enjoy during the inaugural Kroger Super Weekend July 26-29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with every show free to ticket holders each day at the track.

One of the most popular acts on the country music scene today, The Band Perry, will be the headline performers before the start of the Crown Royal Presents the Curtiss Shaver 400 at the Brickyard powered by BigMachineRecords.com on Sunday, July 29 at IMS. The Band Perry is scheduled to play at 11:50 a.m. on the trackside stage.

Additional Big Machine Records country artists performing Race Morning include Justin Moore, The Mavericks, Greg Bates and Sunny Sweeney. Those performances will take place from 8:30-11 a.m. on the infield stage inside Turn 2, near the IMS Hall of Fame Museum. Before the race, Sweeney will sing “America the Beautiful,” and Raul Malo, lead singer for The Mavericks, will sing the national anthem. Both performances will take place on the IMS victory podium.

Live music also will be available to everyone during the fourth annual Hauler Parade on Thursday, July 26 on Main Street in Speedway, Ind., where more than 40 colorful NASCAR Sprint Cup Series haulers will be on display. The event will take place from 5-9:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Country music singer-songwriter and native Hoosier Corey Cox will appear on the Hauler Parade stage at 5 p.m. Cox will also perform the national anthem before the Indiana 250, the inaugural NASCAR Nationwide Series race at IMS on Saturday, July 28. Also performing during the Hauler Parade in Speedway will be local soul and R&B band Toy Factory, beginning at 8 p.m.

Held in conjunction with the inaugural GRAND-AM Road Racing Series races at IMS on Friday, July 27, blues-rock guitarist and singer Davy Knowles will perform at 7:15 p.m. on the Coca-Cola Stage in the Pagoda Plaza.

Country artists Cook and Belle will perform on the Coca-Cola Stage at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 28.
