Kids, Families Can Enjoy Free Easter Egg Hunt April 9 At IMS

Families can enjoy a new twist on a spring tradition at the inaugural Indianapolis Motor Speedway Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 9.

The free event, in partnership with CARA Charities, will take place from 10-11 a.m. inside Turn 2 adjacent to the IMS Hall of Fame Museum. Children age 12 and younger can participate in the Easter Egg Hunt.

Thousands of eggs will contain candy and great prizes, including race tickets, special event tickets, signed memorabilia, CARA Charities Fashion Show Tickets and more. The Easter Egg Hunt will be conducted in age-specific areas, and prizes will be awarded every 10 minutes starting at 10 a.m. The schedule:

10 a.m. – Registration Opens
10:30 a.m. – Easter Egg Hunt Begins
11 a.m. – Event Concludes

Following the Easter Egg Hunt, participants and their families are encouraged to visit the Hall of Fame Museum. This spring, the Museum features 67 Indianapolis 500-winning cars – the largest collection ever assembled – as part of the 100th Anniversary celebration of the race.

Race Day ticket prices start at just $30. Fans can buy tickets online at www.imstix.com, by calling the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area, or by visiting the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday.

Children 12 and under will be receive free general admission to any IMS event in 2011 when accompanied by an adult general admission ticket holder.
