•The first time that the legendary seven-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi will race for the iconic Ducati marque at IMS. Italian Rossi is moving to the prestigious Italian factory team in 2011, with American Nicky Hayden – a fellow World Champion – as his teammate.

•2010 American rookie phenom Ben Spies will race at IMS for the factory Fiat Yamaha Team as teammate to this season’s runaway points leader, Jorge Lorenzo. Spies won the pole and finished second last month at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP riding for the satellite Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team.
