Going into his final race this weekend at Homestead, Tony Stewart owns 49 NASCAR Sprint Cup wins. Among the most cherished to the Columbus, Indiana, native are – of course -- his two Brickyard 400 wins, in 2005 and 2007. “Smoke” dreamed about winning at Indy since childhood. In the Indianapolis 500, he racked up three top-10 finishes but never got to Victory Circle. Four years after his final “500” start, he got to climb Indy’s catch fence as a NASCAR star. “Today’s been my entire life,” Stewart said on that Sunday in 2005. Two years later, in his iconic No. 20 Home Depot car, Stewart won for a second time. Relive those moments – and his unique dedication to the fans after win No. 2 – in the below video. Check out some photos from his years at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. View Photo Gallery
