Each year college age women from all over Indiana apply to become a 500 Festival Princess. After much deliberation, a group of 33 girls is chosen based on poise, communication skills, academic performance, and community and volunteer involvement. The 33 princesses then help to spread the word about the 500 Festival through activities they arrange in their communities.
This year is no different, a new group of 33 outstanding women has been chosen to represent the 500 Festival and the Indianapolis 500! In the blog posts below, the princesses tell us a little bit about themselves and share their tips for fans of the 500 Festival Parade and the Indy 500.
The women are listed alphabetically by first name.
