IndyCar Series Owner Fisher To Give Two-Seater Rides, Sell Tickets Monday
Tickets for the 98th Indianapolis 500 and the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, with a helping hand provided by IndyCar Series team owner Sarah Fisher.
Indianapolis 500 veteran Fisher will work the counter at the IMS Ticket Office starting at 9 a.m. Monday, selling tickets to fans for both races. She also will provide rides on area streets in a street-legal two-seater Indy car to 20 randomly selected customers Monday morning at the IMS Ticket Office.
An IndyCar Series race car featuring the new Grand Prix of Indianapolis logo will be on display for photographs, and Grid Girls will be available for photos with fans.
Fisher and IMS President J. Douglas Boles will be available for interviews in the IMS lobby at 8:30 a.m.
The Grand Prix of Indianapolis, the first road-course event at IMS for the IndyCar Series, will take place on May 8-10, 2014 on the newly redesigned 14-turn, 2.434 mile circuit. The 98th Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 25 on the historic, 2.5-mile oval.
