IMS
Belskus Named President, CEO Of Hulman & Company

The Board of Directors of Hulman & Company has appointed longtime Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation senior executive Jeffrey G. Belskus as president and chief executive officer of Hulman & Company, effective Oct. 1.

Belskus has served as an IMS executive for the last 24 years and has led the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation as president and chief executive officer since July 2009. He will replace Curt Brighton, who is leaving Hulman & Company to accept a position at another company.

In his new role, Belskus will assume leadership responsibility for Hulman & Company operations. Hulman & Company owns and operates several business units, including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, IMS Productions, INDYCAR, Clabber Girl and other holdings. Belskus will retain his current position as president and CEO of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation.

“I’m honored to accept this new role and responsibility with Hulman & Company,” Belskus said. “We have great management across all of our business divisions within the company, and I look forward to continuing to work with our team to ensure continued stability, growth and innovation.”

Throughout his tenure with the organization, Belskus has been a key contributor to the management and growth of Hulman & Company and its related enterprises.

Terre Haute native Belskus joined the company in 1987 and was elevated to treasurer in 1989. Already functioning as the company’s chief financial officer, he was promoted to vice president in 1991 and named executive vice president of Hulman and Company and its subsidiaries in January 1994.

Belskus graduated with honors in 1981 from Indiana State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting, and earned his CPA designation in the state of Indiana in 1985.

Belskus serves on several boards, including the board of trustees of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where he is the vice chairman, as well as the Indiana State University Foundation board. He also serves on the board of directors of the Morris Plan Company of Terre Haute, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the 500 Festival Board of Directors, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP) and the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association.

His professional affiliations include the American Institute of CPAs and the Indiana CPA Society, and the Indianapolis chapter of Financial Executives International.

Belskus and his wife, Debbie, live in Zionsville, Ind., and have two grown children, John and Kristen.
