Michigan Pilot Wins Founders Race At IMS Centennial Era Balloon Festival By AT&T
Michigan balloonist David Jacques won the Founders Race on Sunday, May 9 in the 2010 Centennial Era Balloon Festival presented by AT&T at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race, rescheduled from May 8 due to weather, used the "hare and hound" format in which competitors followed the lead AT&T balloon (the hare), with the balloonist who tossed a beanbag closest to the hare's landing zone winning.

Founders Race Moved To Sunday; All Other Saturday Balloon Events Still On Schedule
Due to a forecast of sustained winds in the 20-mph range, the Founders Race, part of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Centennial Era Balloon Festival presented by AT&T, has been moved from Saturday morning, May 8 to a 7:30 a.m. launch Sunday, May 9. The balloon ‘glow' activities on Saturday, May 8 – including the Gin Blossoms concert and fireworks – are still on schedule, with the gate opening at 5 p.m.

Roundtrip Race Day Shuttle Service Offered To Indy 500 Fans
The Town of Speedway is facilitating roundtrip bus service for 2010 Indianapolis 500 fans Sunday, May 30 at four convenient locations, including three in downtown Indianapolis and one at Indianapolis International Airport. Service will be provided by Transportation Management Services (TMS) and the Free Enterprise System, Inc. Both companies will serve fans with air-conditioned shuttles and handicapped-accessible vehicles on all routes.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is bringing the spirit and anticipation of the 2010 Indianapolis 500 Mile Race to cities and towns across Indiana from May 5-15 in a 10-day blitz called the "Indianapolis 500 Hometown Tour." Talented young star Graham Rahal will team up with his father, 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Rahal, for the first time in an IZOD IndyCar Series car in the 2010 edition of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing." Graham Rahal, from New Albany, Ohio, will drive the No. 30 Rahal Letterman Racing entry.
