McAfee was a very public figure around Indianapolis, and his presence has been felt here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since 2013. Pat helped raise the flags outside of the old Gate 1 Wing and Wheel logo 2013 season, and was the pace car driver for IndyCar Grand Prix of in 2014. In 2015, Pat kicked off the Month of May festivities in downtown Indianapolis on Monument Circle, then surprised Carb Day fans during the Tag Heuer Pit Stop Challenge, when he took over the t-shirt cannon, and began launching shirts into the crowd.
