Purchasing Tickets with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
There are three methods to purchasing tickets to events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Ticket Office accepts cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express), checks or money orders (accepted within 14 days business days from the purchased event).
Payment must be made in full at the time of the order. All ticket sales are final – no refunds, no exchanges, no exceptions.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway reminds fans that purchasing tickets from secondary, unauthorized vendors may result in fraudulent purchases. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets directly from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Ticket Office.

Any person, regardless of age, must have a reserved seat ticket for admittance to seating areas.
IMS has long been a family-friendly facility, offering free General Admission to all racing events for children 12 and under when accompanied by a paid adult. Starting this year, IMS will extend this offer to kids up to 15 years old, and will also introduce new grandstand family packages for several 2017 events.
Children 15 and under will receive free General Admission to any IMS event when accompanied by an adult General Admission ticket holder.
Premium shipping will be available as an option for $25 per order in addition to the processing fee for customers who wish to have tracking for their orders. Tracking information will be provided via email once the tickets have shipped from the IMS Ticket Office.
The IMS Ticket Office will consider a ticket transfer request from IMS ticket Account Holders only. One individual, identified as the Account Holder, may hold the status of account representative. IMS no longer lists multiple names on an account. View Full Policy
Remember that event tickets/products should be treated like cash. If your tickets/products are lost or left at home, IMS Ticket Office will re-issue replacements for a $5 per item replacement fee once the original order has been confirmed*. Tickets/products can only be deemed lost by the person who is listed on the account as the original purchaser with a valid ID. Original tickets/products will be voided and cancelled.
*There is no guarantee that replacements will be granted. IMS reserves the right to refuse the replacement and re-printing of lost tickets/products at their discretion.

Now available for an additional $25 USD per order. This is in addition to the $7 USD processing fee which is charged for each order. With Premium Shipping you will be provided with a tracking number via email to follow each step of the delivery process. The $25 payment may be charged to your account by calling the IMS Ticket Office at (800) 822-INDY (4639) (Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET) and our representative will update the delivery status to premium shipping and charge your credit card on file. We cannot deliver via premium shipping to a P.O. Box, you must provide a physical address to deliver to.
Call the IMS Ticket Office at (800) 822-INDY (4639) (Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET) and our representative will update the delivery status to hold for pick-up. Your ticket packet will be held in the IMS Ticket Office for pick-up upon your arrival. Extended hours are offered during event times and noted on the IMS Ticket Office website page. Once your order has been processed, notification for pick-up will be sent to your email address. A valid photo ID is required to pick up your packet. We recommend that you also bring a copy of your notification email as well. The IMS Ticket Office is located in the Administration Building at 4790 West 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN, 46222. This is east of the roundabout at Crawfordsville Road and 16th Street, outside Turn 1 at the track. The parking lot entrance is across the street from the Speedway Gas Station on 16th Street. For your convenience, the IMS Ticket Office is open extended hours during event times.
