Scott Dixon Joins Brickyard Grand Prix
Five-time and reigning GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Cars Series Champions (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011) Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) will travel to Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for the inaugural Super Weekend at the Brickyard, fielding two entries in the Brickyard Grand Prix on July 27, which airs at 4:00 p.m. ET on SPEED.

Popular Said Bringing Diverse Talents To Brickyard Grand Prix
Racing around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course is nothing new for GRAND-AM veteran and occasional NASCAR driver Boris Said III. He was there the day that four-time Brickyard champion and four-time NASCAR Cup champion Jeff Gordon and then Formula One driver and current NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya switched race cars in June 2003.

Burn Ban At The Kroger Super Weekend At The Brickyard
A significant fire hazard remains in all areas of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway due to persistently dry environmental conditions and the absence of significant rainfall. Due to the aforementioned conditions the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is instituting a burn ban that adheres to the burn ban put in place on June 28th, 2012 by the Town of Speedway. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway burn ban prohibits open burning such as comfort fires or camp fires of any kind. Fireworks and grilling devices that use a source of ignition other than gas are also not permitted.

Cycle World Rolling Concours Entries: 1971 BMW R75/5
Note: This is the fourth of a series of owner comments about their vintage and classic motorcycles participating in the Cycle World Rolling Concours presented by BikeBandit.com during the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 17-19 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Participants join the Cycle World staff on a ride from the track to a private lunch Saturday, Aug. 18 before riding back to the Speedway for judging. Bikes must complete the entire ride to be eligible for trophies in a variety of classes, as this unique event celebrates both form and function. The beautiful machines of the Rolling Concours also will be on display Friday, Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug. 19 in the Pagoda Plaza at IMS.

Crown Royal Unveils Honorary Yard of Bricks in Troy, Ala., Awarding Local Firefighter Naming Rights To NASCAR Race At Historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway
When local firefighters saved Troy native Curtiss Shaver’s life during a tragic farming accident, Shaver knew he’d found his calling. Though the accident claimed the lower part of his left leg, Shaver persevered and began a lifelong career as a firefighter and certified EMT with the goal of giving back to his community. In a special event today at Troy Fire Station No. 1, a ceremonial Yard of Bricks was revealed to recognize Shaver as winner of Crown Royal’s “Your Hero’s Name Here” program.
