Picking Up the Pieces
The Kentucky debacle is over. Everyone is sorry. By everyone, this means officials of the track, its parent company (Speedway Motorsports Inc.) and NASCAR, not to mention the legislature of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Not A Bad Season So Far
Fans are hard to please. They pay their hard-earned money to attend NASCAR races and expect them to live up to expectations.
And they can't possibly live up to expectations. If so, every race would end with two cars crossing the finish line side by side, upside down, backwards and on fire. And the winner would climb out of his car and do a back flip off the … upside-down … car. It would be cool because, after the back flip, he would end up … right-side up … in contrast to … the car.

The Groundwork for a Humdinger
So far, so good. The NASCAR season has started well. Eight races are enough to encourage tentative analysis. Reasonable conclusions have been drawn. Now let's see what shakes out. Eight races do not a season make. The young season is attractive, but, like a child, its features are only partially drawn. An evolution occurs, and it has only just begun.
